Menjadi Sepikir

Baca: 2 Korintus 13:1-13

"...usahakanlah dirimu supaya sempurna. Terimalah segala nasihatku! Sehati sepikirlah kamu, dan hiduplah dalam damai sejahtera; maka Allah, sumber kasih dan damai sejahtera akan menyertai kamu!" (2 Korintus 13:11)

Apa yang dimaksud sepikir? Bagaimana kita bisa sepikir padahal gaya hidup kita begitu berbeda? Paulus sebenarnya berbicara tentang sepikir dalam hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan Allah. Jika kita bersekutu bersama sehati dan sepikir kita akan hidup dalam damai sejahtera dan kesatuan sebagai keluarga Allah.

Belajar hidup damai salah satunya adalah menghindari bergosip. Tuhan tidak pernah mengajar kita membicarakan satu dengan yang lain, melainkan "...saling mendoakan..." (Yakobus 5:16a). Kita tidak bisa mengharapkan hidup dalam damai jika kita menghabiskan waktu membicarakan orang lain secara negatif. Tuhan tidak suka sikap jahat ini. Kita tidak bisa maju ketika kita terus membicarakan dosa dan kegagalan masa lalu kita maupun orang lain. Yang lalu biarlah berlalu. Jangan terus mengingatnya. Mari lupakan, terus maju dengan Roh Kudus, maka akan ada damai di antara kita.

Paulus menasihati, "Jadi akhirnya, saudara-saudara, semua yang benar, semua yang mulia, semua yang adil, semua yang suci, semua yang manis, semua yang sedap didengar, semua yang disebut kebajikan dan patut dipuji, pikirkanlah semuanya itu." (Filipi 4:8). Jika kita melakukan apa yang diajarkan Alkitab, kita membiarkan damai Kristus bertahta di tengah-tengah kita sehingga kita bisa terus hidup dalam damai Tuhan dengan orang percaya yang lain. Betapa pentingnya hidup dalam damai dan kesatuan dengan semua saudara seiman.

Paulus berkata, "Sebab itu aku menasihatkan kamu, aku, orang yang dipenjarakan karena Tuhan, supaya hidupmu sebagai orang-orang yang telah dipanggil berpadanan dengan panggilan itu. Hendaklah kamu selalu rendah hati, lemah lembut, dan sabar. Tunjukkanlah kasihmu dalam hal saling membantu. Dan berusahalah memelihara kesatuan Roh oleh ikatan damai sejahtera: satu tubuh, dan satu Roh, sebagaimana kamu telah dipanggil kepada satu pengharapan yang terkandung dalam panggilanmu, satu Tuhan, satu iman, satu baptisan, satu Allah dan Bapa dari semua, Allah yang di atas semua dan oleh semua dan di dalam semua." (Efesus 4:1-6).

Kita harus berjuang untuk hidup dalam kesatuan sebagai satu Tubuh Kristus.
