Renungan Tuhan Membuka Pintu-Pintu Berkat

Baca: Maleakhi 3:6-12

"Aku akan menghardik bagimu belalang pelahap, supaya jangan dihabisinya hasil tanahmu dan supaya jangan pohon anggur di padang tidak berbuah bagimu, firman Tuhan semesta alam.” (Maleakhi 3:11)

Dalam kehidupan rohani ada hukum timbal balik. Ketika kita menabur dalam ketaatan kepada firman Tuhan, Tuhan memberkati kita sebagai balasannya: "...carilah dulu Kerajaan Allah dan kebenarannya, maka semuanya itu akan ditambahkan kepadamu." (Matius 6:33).

Ketika kita menjadikan Tuhan prioritas utama dalam hidup, tidak ada hal yang perlu kita kuatirkan, semuanya akan ditambahkan bagi kita. Pintu-pintu berkat akan dibukakan untuk kita! Saat kita taat persepuluhan Tuhan berkata, "Aku akan menghardik bagimu belalang pelahap, supaya jangan dihabisinya hasil tanahmu dan supaya jangan pohon anggur di padang tidak berbuah bagimu..." (ayat nas). Apa artinya menghardik belalang pelahap? Banyak hal yang bisa menyebabkan krisis dalam kehidupan kita secara mendadak dan tak terduga, contoh: krisis ekonomi atau krisis kesehatan, tapi bila kita setia dalam hal persepuluhan, Tuhan akan menjaga dan menjauhkan kita dari 'serangga dan hama' tersebut.

Seringkali kita kuatir akan hidup kita. Perhatikan! Kekuatiran adalah kebalikan dari iman. Hati kita tidak bisa dipenuhi dengan iman dan kekuatiran pada waktu bersamaan. Tuhan tau apa kebutuhan kita dan selalu menyediakan yang kita perlukan karena Dia rindu memberkati kita dengan pemberian-pemberian yang baik. Dikatakan: "Adakah seorang dari padamu yang memberi batu kepada anaknya, jika ia meminta roti, atau memberi ular, jika ia meminta ikan? Jadi jika kamu yang jahat tau memberi pemberian yang baik kepada anak-anakmu, apalagi Bapamu yang di sorga! Ia akan memberikan yang baik kepada mereka yang meminta kepadaNya." (Matius 7:9-11).

Tuhan telah memberi kita banyak pemberian, dan pemberianNya yang terbesar adalah ketika Dia rela mati di atas kayu salib menebus dosa-dosa kita.

Banyak orang Kristen tidak sabar menantikan pertolongan Tuhan, serta tidak taat persepuluhan, sehingga terlibat hutang untuk mendapatkan apa yang sesungguhnya sudah Tuhan sediakan. Siapa yang salah?
