Renungan Memiliki Hati Yang Bersih Dan Murni

Baca: Ibrani 10:19-25

"Karena itu marilah kita menghadap Allah dengan hati yang tulus iklas dan keyakinan iman yang teguh, oleh karena hati kita telah dibersihkan dari hati nurani yang jahat dan tubuh kita telah dibasuh dengan air yang murni." (Ibrani 10:22)

Kepada jemaat di Efesus Paulus menegaskan bahwa hidup kekristenan adalah perjuangan melawan kuasa-kuasa gelap dan tipu muslihat Iblis. Maka "...berdirilah tegap, berikatpinggangkan kebenaran dan berbajuzirahkan keadilan." (Efesus 6:14). Apakah maksud berbaju zirah itu? Baju zirah adalah baju yang dipakai untuk melindungi dada prajurit dari serangan musuh. Hati dan Tuhan agar kita tak mudah tertembus peluru si Iblis. Seseorang yang mengenakan baju zirah keadilan dan kebenaran akan terjaga dari hal-hal cemar dan jahat, sehingga ia pun dapat menghadap Tuhan ranpa rintangan atau ganjalan dalam hati.

Alkitab berkata: "...karena hati kita telah dibersihkan dari hati nurani yang jahat dan tubuh kita telah dibasuh dengan air yang murni." (ayat nas). Agar dapat memperoleh kemenangan atas musuh kita (Iblis), hati kita harus bersih dari segala kejahatan. Terlebih lagi bila kita rindu dipakai menjadi alat kemuliaanNya kita harus memiliki hati yang benar dan bersih di hadapan Tuhan seperti kata rasul Paulus, "Jika seorang menyucikan dirinya dari hal-hal yang jahat, ia akan menjadi perabot rumah untuk maksud yang mulia, ia dikuduskan, dipandang layak untuk dipakai tuannya dan disediakan untuk setiap pekerjaan yang mulia. Sebab itu jauhilah nafsu orang muda, kejarlah keadilan, kesetiaan, kasih dan damai bersama-sama dengan mereka yang berseru kepada Tuhan dengan hati yang murni." (2 Timotius 2:21-22).

Hati merupakan sumber segala sesuatu, berkat atau kutuk. Ia dapat memancarkan kehidupan atau kematian, "karena dari hati timbul pikiran jahat,..." (Matius 15:19). Jika hati tercemar dan memancarkan air berpolusi dan keruh, sanggupkah ia menyegarkan jiwa yang dahaga? Maka untuk dapat memberi kesegaran jiwa-jiwa, perlulah hati kita dibersihkan setiap saat oleh darah Kristus yang kudus sehingga segala noda hilang! Dan melalui firmanNya hati kita akan diperbaharui setiap saat.

"...Allah itu baik bagi mereka yang tulus hatinya, bagi mereka yang bersih hatinya." (Mazmur 73:1)
